The Mayor of London ’s second disability equality conference

The Mayor ’s second disability equality conference will be held on
Thursday,
17 March.This will build on the success of Disability Capital 2003 and
will be part of a week of disability equality events organised by the
GLA and functional bodies.
The conference will have the following aims:
•To report on the progress of the GLA ’s Disability Equality Scheme and
action plan
•To provide a forum for disabled and Deaf Londoners in London to
question the Mayor and senior representatives from the functional bodies
through a live interview and question-and-answer session
•To promote what the GLA and GLA family are doing to promote disability
and Deaf equality in London
•To provide consultative forums for disabled and Deaf Londoners on key
issues
•To celebrate the contribution of disabled and Deaf Londoners to the
capital.
Entry is free but pre-registration is necessary as space is limited.For
