TQ99 Reminders sent

Dear Friends,

On Friday, 5 March, we sent e-mail two kinds of reminders to all student participants registered for TQ99 who have not yet completed their application. The first reminder went to all students on teams who had not yet finalized their application urging them to do so before the 31 March deadline. The second reminder went to all registrants who had not yet formed a team to do so and to submit their application on our server as soon as possible. For each group we have repeated the specific instructions for their convenience.

I thought you should have copies of these two reminders in case students ask for your help.

The following is the individualized message sent to students on all teams who have not yet finalized their application.

Our records show that you are registered with Participant ID = 000000 on the ThinkQuest Team 00000.

Currently Team 25681's application is not finalized (based on data collect Thursday March 4th at 5:00 PM Eastern Time). We would like to remind you that the deadline for finalizing your team for this year's ThinkQuest Contest is 11:59 PM Eastern Time (USA) on March 31st, 1999.

If you intend to participate in this year's contest, please take care of this as soon as possible since the server will become very busy on the days leading up to the deadline.

The following individualized message went to all registrants who are not yet on a team. Please remember that many students have registered more than once and as a result have more than on "Participant ID." As soon as a registrant becomes a team member, the ID that he/she chooses vor joining the team becomes the only valid one and all the others will be erased later. Please note that we give specific instructions as to how to become a team member. Please consider putting this information on your web site to reinforce the help offered and the urgent action the registrants must take as soon as possible.
